Harley Davidson XLH Sporster

Same as the T100c, this Harley came to us directly from the importer as a non runner. After an initial looking over there were several issues with it. Electrically, there was very little power getting to the ignition, the bike had stood some considerable time so the carb was blocked with old fuel residue. The lubrication system was wet sumping the entire contents of the oil tank in under a week. So a few things to go at……

We then proceeded to vlog the progress. The target is to have a rideable reliable road bike.

As you have seen, even we suffer from the frustrations of parts being different to what was expected/listed. Very very close now. Soon to be on the road

This bike has been an absolute roller coaster ride. Seemingly complete, test rides determine we have a gear selection issue. During tyhe search to find this issue, we discover even more issues…….

Needless to say, this had to take a back seat to get other jobs completed. Parts are now ordered and will soon be picking up the baton again!

Notice the missing balls? Once the trap door was out it was found that the bearing had spun too…… But none of this was the cause of the shifting issue. A single solitary £2 part missing was the cause…….
